I noticed in SA , the nurses and PA's too the docs think they the doctors. These PA's and Nurses really push we, the patients around. (experienced personally during FIFA 2010 visit). The world definitely will not function without docs. I would definitely NOT rely on a nurse or "computer programmer" for a neuro surgery or heart operation on myself or neither would anyone else..:):)My life will definitely rely on the docs opinion. I have seen doctors being abused by patients, and i wondered why these docs dont retaliate and it was one word which came up "Hippocratic Oath". I guess its like signing up a lifetime legal contract of abuse. Docs is SA are underpaid and the most experienced, that is why we in Manchester are benifiting from this. We really need more docs from SA.AIDEN SCOTTnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2647634869295511036.post-89553706061597258052011-08-22T11:34:01.426+02:002011-08-22T11:34:01.426+02:00@anonymous with reference to"Lady". You...@anonymous with reference to"Lady". You are right the world doesn't owe anyone but we owe it . we just take everything for granted around us, tragic! If you are a computer programmer i applaud you as i luv that field for the simple reason you already mentioned...it is mentally stimulating.but what is mentally stimulating for you might not be so for someone else. Individuality is the success to humanity as it gives rise to diversity.IT has been found that Francis Galton's theory of eugenics
would have weakened the gene pool hence diversity is key to survival of human race. My Page is about "getting a life". Its about my life on the web. We take things for granted and when someone tells us something we like brushing it under the carpet and telling them "get a Life". it is tragic how we have grown to take things and people around us for granted. We have become numb to the small details and events in life. Nowadays even a bomb blast in another country doesn't tickle us. if it doesn't happen to you who cares if someone else gets blown away. A few days back Red cross broadcasted that it is appalling when a blast effecting doctors working in war torn countries
is taken so lightly by the world. we all need to wake up or you will be another swatted fly on the wall! unless you want to be left as a fly. On that note thank you for you contribution...Dr Qhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00124660785700935894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2647634869295511036.post-54452794182329295032011-08-22T10:16:23.498+02:002011-08-22T10:16:23.498+02:00Hi anonymous, you seem to be very bitter with ur l...Hi anonymous, you seem to be very bitter with ur life, now i too am being presumptious. its good you mention about nurses. yes i agree nurses give care to patients hence care givers and doctors treat patients hence 6yrs of md and 4 yrs of specialization. During the nurses strike a few yrs back we were working without nurses and we understand their plight. the nurses in South Africa are undermined by the people who employ them , not the people who they work with on a day to day basis. unfortunately they target their frustrations in the wrong direction, sometimes towards patients (we have heard a many complaints from patients which we iron out time and again) and mostly towards doctors.(becoz of the green demon). We have learnt to ignore these petty childish retaliations as we do with a 2 yr old's tantrums as we are not responsible for it and cannot do anything about it. It would be more constructive for these miserable nurses to target their frustrations towards the people who pay them their salaries. In America a nurses salary is in par with a doctor's salary here in south africa. Maybe these nurses for money sake should think about moving there if they think they are dealt unfairly here. I wouldn't mind a nurse getting equal salary to a doctors's as long as they have the same in depth syllabus and exams and yearly tuition fees as we pay for our 6 years. In south africa nurses do earn higher than our junior doctors depending on which salary scale they r in. My family physician is overseas and i feel handicapped without him. Are South African doctor's idiots? i don't think they would have been able to pass and get degrees if they were. And on that note thank you anonymous for your contribution...Dr Qhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00124660785700935894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2647634869295511036.post-84644893641450094872011-08-20T12:24:11.548+02:002011-08-20T12:24:11.548+02:00I agree with anonymous. Nurses salaries should be on par with the drs - let's face it in SOuth Africa most of the doctors are idiots anyway.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2647634869295511036.post-88171491545631847692011-08-20T12:01:31.132+02:002011-08-20T12:01:31.132+02:00As usual - doctors who think they are more than us...As usual - doctors who think they are more than us mere mortals. Lady get a life - we all work for a living. You are no more special and neither is your job more demanding than anybody elses. You probably would not have coped being a computer programmer which why you ended off being a doctor. A job as a programmer is mentally stimulating - it involves logical thinking not to mention staying abreast of the latest that technology has to offer. Enjoy your life and your job lady but don't assume that the world owes you something.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
